Welcome to Olympic View Elementary!

Dear Olympic View Families and Friends,

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year.  I am so excited to continue as principal for the “Home of the Golden Eagles.”  The staff and I are eager to carry on the tradition of excellence.  Last year we had many successes!  After coming back from two challenging years, our staff, students and parents came together for a wonderful year! We had our second annual Leadership Day, which was in person!  Our students impressed with their poise and confidence.  Our obstacle Fun Run was a success and OPTC was able to pay for the installation of a water filtration fountain, New VAPA art supplies, and new playground decals that we will be painting on soon.  All grade levels participated in a service project, and our 6th grade students fundraised for a “gaga pit” as their legacy project!

As we plan for the upcoming 2022-23 school year, we will continue to strengthen and expand our work with Leader In Me.  This is a leadership program based on the 7 habits of highly effective people. If you would like to learn more, visit www.leaderinme.org. It is our goal to provide the most relevant, equitable, inclusive, responsible, and ethical environment for ALL.

The principles that will guide us with making decisions that best support students are as follows:

  • Everyone can be a leader
  • Everyone has genius
  • Change starts with me
  • Empower students to lead their own learning
  • Educators and families partner to develop the whole person

Our school mission statement is:  Olympic View Golden Eagles BELONG, LEARN and LEAD to SUCCEED!

The staff and I thank you for trusting us with your most precious possession, your child(ren).  We take their care, growth and well-being seriously.  We look forward to partnering with you for an eventful and successful school year in which we are all inspired by the relentless pursuit of excellence for all!

Yours in education,

Lisa Lines – Principal
